What You Can Expect
It's hard to get into a new sport or back into one that you haven't played in a while! Javelin's Volleyball Training Sessions are designed for adults who are looking to brush up on their volleyball skills in a safe and welcoming environment! All attending trainees must be 18+
Player Expectations
This volleyball training session is exclusively hosted by Javelin. Coaches for these sessions are hand-picked based on their passion and experience for teaching and playing volleyball. Some training sessions will have volunteers who are there to help the coach and get some playtime.
Game Format
Ideal for newcomers or those looking to refine their skills, these volleyball clinics cover basic volleyball techniques, etiquette, and gameplay with fellow adults. A typical session includes a quick warm-up, 1v1 passing & hitting drills, a practice game and continuous coach support for each player. Net size will be co-ed (2.33m).

Advanced

Advanced skill level games are our highest-difficulty games. We expect players to be able to play every volleyball system, have exceptional court positioning/awareness, and fill at least one of the following roles at a very high and consistent level: DS, one of the front row positions, setter. Players are allowed to be less skilled at the net, if they are more skilled in either passing or setting. This is intended to ensure everyone on the court can positively contribute to the game. Additionally, players will play in both the front and back row at Javelin games. You must have sound fundamentals in both to play at the advanced level.

About Javelin

How to Get the Most out of Javelin
Auto-signup at checkout on the Javelin app to automatically join the game every week and receive a 5% discount. You can also become a Javelin+ member for $3.99/month for an additional 10% discount.
Tryouts Overview
Players are placed in tryouts at the high recreational level and above. During tryouts, players may receive one of the following outcomes: Pass, Hold, Fail. For more information please check out our skill level page.
Payments & Cancellation Policy
When you book a spot at a Javelin game we place a hold on your card that will be processed a few hours before the game starts. You can cancel your attendance up to 4 hours before the game starts. If you cancel your attendance at a game you will not be charged however, it may take up to a week for the hold on your card to be cleared.
