This is a 6-8 team tournament. Each team must have 2 men and 2 women on the court at all times.
There will be a group stage and playoffs in a round-robin format. Games are to 25 points, win by 2 with a cap at 30. Every team is guaranteed at least 4 games.
To book a spot for your team, your team captain must book through the Javelin app. The price of this registration is for the full team. Team captains will be responsible for securing a spot for their team and splitting costs with their teammates. If you need extra players or are looking to join a team, drop a message in the “Volleyball Toronto Area” group or post in the tournament subgroup.

🏐 Group stage games will have two sets to 25 points, win by 2 to a cap of 30.
🏐 Games will finish when the two sets are completed, or promptly after the allotted time block of 40 minutes is over.
🚩 Playoffs Stage:
🏐 Each playoff game will be conducted in a single-elimination format, where teams will compete in a best-of-three.
🏐 The first two playoff games will be played to a score of 25 points, with a cap of 30. In the third playoff game, the score will be played to a maximum of 15 points, with a cap of 20.
🏐 Games will finish when the three sets are completed, or promptly after the allotted time block of 40 minutes is over.
Javelin has developed an exciting rating system that allows competitive teams to compete and climb the volleyball leaderboards with real-time Elo changes.
What is Elo?
Elo is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in zero-sum games such as chess, basketball, or football.
How It Works
After the score of each game is input, the rating system will calculate and adjust your team's rating based on the win probability between the teams. Your final team rating will be adjusted once both teams have input the same scores for all 3 games. Only a set's Win/Loss would affect team's elo; Score doesn't affect elo.
This rating system was designed in order to match you with teams of similar Elo in order to ensure a more competitive experience.

🏐 No professional players are allowed. If you are unsure if you apply, please message us.
🏐 All regular indoor-volleyball rules are in effect unless otherwise stated.
🏐 All teams must have at least 2 men and 2 women on the court at all times.
🏐 All attending players must be 18+.
🏐 Nets will be set to co-ed height.
🏐 Games to 25, win by 2, with a cap at 30.
🏐 Rally scoring will be used.
🏐 A team will forfeit if they cannot field at least 4 players (2 men and 2 women) within 5 minutes after the game’s start time.
🏐 Teams are allowed a maximum of 12 players. Substitutions can be made when it is your team’s serve.
🏐 Referees may elect to replay a point if they could not see or were obstructed during play.
🏐 Net touches are not allowed, however, hair touches are fine.
🏐 A player may not touch the ground beyond the center line on their opponent's side of the court.
🏐 If a ball hits anything outside of the court it is considered a dead ball.
🏐 Games in the group stage are 2 sets. Games in the playoffs are best of 3.
