Contest Rules

1. Racers must be 13 or older to participate. If the racer is under 18 they must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

2. Each racer has a running start from the top of the key, they will then run toward the baseline and shoot 5 balls over a 10'2.5" blocker.

3. TIME LIMIT: Each racer has 42 seconds to shoot. The clock starts when the racer touches the first ball.

4. Racers must post their videos on Instagram to enter the contest including #theshotchallenge, @appjavelin, and @sportcheck, in order to get qualified for the final round.

5. FIRST ROUND: The player with the highest score and time record from each city will advance to the final round that is held in Scotiabank Bank Arena on March 26th. Racer must score at least 1 basket to advance.

6. FINAL ROUND: 12 Players will compete in the Final Round. The competition order for the Final Round will be determined by the inverse order of First Round scores. (e.g., the player with the lowest score in the First Round among the players who advanced shoots first in the Final Round.)

7. Contest Tiebreaker Procedures:

a. Fastest shooting record

b. If racers did not complete all shots, time of the first basket made

b. If the time remains tied, there will be an extra round of shootout

c. If it remains tied, a coin toss shall be held
