Workouts You Can Do At Home

You don't have to go far to achieve a healthier lifestyle. As we spend more time being in online meetings and live a more sedentary life, we tend to lose focus on our healthy habits. However, there are a few things you can do at home to get up and moving!

We are going to take a look at a few different workouts you can do without having to leave your house. Don't be deterred, even if you have never worked out before, you will have the ability to complete most of the workouts on our list.

Sit-ups

Want a stronger core? Try doing sit-ups at home! Grab your yoga mat and get started by lying down on your back, bending your knees on the floor with your arms crossed, and lifting your upper body while maintaining the same position with your legs. Sit-ups are beneficial when you want to strengthen your abs and the core of your body.

Squats

Want to get nice glutes? Try doing some squats! You can do it with a yoga mat or without, as long as you're in a comfortable spot, you're good to go. Bend your knees and shift your weight towards your backside. Doing squats with some dumbbells or kettlebells can help strengthen your glute muscles and is better compared to doing squats without the added weight as it increases intensity.

Burpees

Burpees are helpful when you want a boost of energy! They make great morning workouts. All you have to do is stand straight, kneel down with your hands, hop into a plank position, jump back into a curled position, and jump with your hands up high! This technique is great for when you're feeling groggy or tired from the night before and helps get your blood flowing throughout your body.

Push-Ups

I'm sure we have all heard of push-ups before. You know, that dreaded workout we had to do at the start of gym class. Push-ups are a great addition to any upper body workout routine. Start in an upright plank position, then slowly bring your chest to the floor, and back up again. An easy workout you can do anywhere.

Plank

If you are looking to build up your core muscles, the plank can definitely help with that. Start by placing your arms flat on the ground and extending your legs behind you, try and keep your body as straight as possible. The longer you hold this position the more you are going to feel it activate your core strength. This might not be the most romantic workout on this list, but it will definitely help get you to where you want to be.

Introducing at-home workouts in your day-to-day is a great way to start living a healthier lifestyle. Just because we are shifting into a more sedentary life doesn't mean you have to. Use our list of at-home workouts to get up and move!
