Your local park might have a couple of people playing sports already! Depending on your park, you might see people playing basketball, soccer, volleyball, frisbee, or even spikeball.
Go for walks around your local park at different times of the day to see if you there's any regulars that you see playing sports. If that group interests you in any way, go and introduce yourself. It might seem daunting at first, but most people are welcoming to a new sports member!
Another great way to find people to play sports with is through Facebook and Meetup. Many people who play sports set up groups on these websites that are open for everyone to join. Some neighborhoods may already have a sports group set up already.If you cannot find one in your neighborhood, try searching for one in your nearest city. You might even find some people who live near your neighborhood in those groups!
Many neighborhoods have a local recreation centre that offer a wide range of facilities that are open to the public, such as pools, rinks, gymnasiums, weight rooms, etc.

Most recreational centres have drop-in times for specific sports that you may want to play. Many of the people that attend these drop-ins are usually regulars, so if you go on a consistent basis, you'll be bound to see the same people twice!
